Baking Tip for Bread Sticks
The two rises are what give these bread sticks their light, airy interior — don’t skip them. The first 10-minute rest lets the yeast activate and the flour hydrate, while the second 20-minute rise before baking builds the open crumb structure. A generous brush of melted butter before that second rise also helps the seasoning stick and gives you that golden, slightly crisp crust straight from the oven.
